A Solar Pool Cover, also known as a solar blanket, is one of the most cost-effective options for both In Ground and Above Ground Swimming Pools. Resembling large sheets of bubble wrap, these covers feature bubbles that capture solar heat and transfer it to your pool water, keeping it comfortably warm. Solar blankets also help retain the warmth during cooler nighttime temperatures.
Unlike other covers, solar blankets do not require weights or straps to stay in place; they simply float on the water’s surface. Removing and replacing them is straightforward—just pull them off and store them. However, handling a large, wet cover alone can be cumbersome, which is why using a Solar Pool Cover Reel can greatly simplify this task.
When not in use, solar covers are typically rolled up on a solar pool cover reel and stored away neatly.
Solar blankets are effective in various climates across the country but excel in sunny conditions where they can maximize heat retention, extending your swimming season beyond normal limits.
